concerto-for-a-rainy-day:

This is easily one of the most mind-bending pieces of music I’ve ever heard. In my entire life I’ve never encountered another piece of music that sums up…everything on the same level as this does.

It starts off mildly enough. There’s a soft piano introduction, and you can hear a man saying, “And I am not frightened of dying. Any time will do. I don’t mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There’s no reason for it. You’ve got to go sometime.”

And then, all at once, everything happens. Seriously, that’s the only word I can think of that describes what happens next. Every single emotion humans are capable of is summed up in the next four minutes, and it is incredible.

The Dark Side of the Moon is fantastic, but for me, this song is what takes it to a whole new level.

Played 60 times.
